Tesla new update: Tesla quietly adds three new climate settings, one of which helps with phone calls

Tesla new update

Tesla new update: Tesla has quietly rolled out three new climate settings for its vehicles in a recent software update. Among these updates is a feature designed to improve the convenience of making phone calls without the need for manual interaction.

Tesla’s climate control system is widely recognized as one of the most sophisticated and advanced vehicles available today. It boasts a range of features such as cabin pre-conditioning, Dog Mode, and the use of a heat pump to mitigate range loss in cold weather. These elements underscore Tesla’s comprehensive strategy in managing vehicle climate settings.

Tesla remains committed to enhancing its vehicles through Over-the-Air Software Updates. Notably, Tesla recently unveiled Software Version 2024.26.1, introducing a range of new features that significantly elevate the sophistication of its HVAC system.

SCHEDULE CHARGE AND PRE-CONDITIONING

According to Not a Tesla App, Tesla has updated its Charging and Pre-Conditioning features to incorporate a scheduling option, allowing owners to select a designated time for performing these tasks.

The site writes:

Through the revised menu or the Tesla mobile app, you now have the ability to schedule charging or preconditioning for your vehicle. This includes selecting a location, setting one-time schedules, scheduling repeats on specific days or times each week, and controlling the start and stop times for charging.

To schedule your charge and precondition, tap Controls > Schedule.

REDESIGNED CLIMATE PANEL

Tesla is unveiling a new, user-friendly climate panel designed to streamline the selection of comfort settings.

Several owners have expressed concerns about the difficulty of adjusting the vehicle’s temperature or airflow direction while driving.

Tesla has responded by streamlining the panel based on feedback.

AUTO REDUCTION DURING PHONE CALL

A notable feature now available in Tesla vehicles is the automatic reduction of fan speed when a phone call begins.

The cabin A/C often generates significant ambient noise, which can disrupt clear phone calls.

With the new Auto mode feature, the A/C automatically adjusts its intensity to minimize background noise during phone calls, improving clarity for both speaking and listening.
